Set of Japanese Invasion Money (JIM) for the Philippines, 5 Pesos, with blocks #16, #17, and #18.

In the original series of these Japanese Invasion Notes, 2 letter P block letters were used. Later, these notes were replaced with numbered block letters and serial numbers.

This is a set of 3 x 5 Pesos notes, each with a different block number. According to my records, the 5 Pesos block numbers range from 1 to 51. The hard to find numbers are 10, 13, and 38.

All of these notes have the JAPWANCAP (Japanese War Notes Claimants Association of the Philippines) stamp on them. In 1967, this Philippine organization made a very serious attempt to obtain funds from the United States for redemption of millions of Pesos in Japanese occupation currency. Notes with JAPWANCAP had a number of different stampings.

These notes are circulated, have folds, and minor marks & nicks. Please view the photos to see for yourself.

I have listed other JIM notes.
