Two letters with mailing covers dated, April 9, 1931 (Underway for Manila) and April 11, 1931 (Enroute Manila), apparently sent to the writer's niece in Portland, Oregon. Both are written on letterhead stationary: UNITED STATES SHIP PITTSBURGH with great red ink postal cancels stamped on board ship.
