Instructions for use: LM393 is a high gain, broadband device. Like most comparators, if there is parasitic capacitance from the output end to the input end that causes coupling, it is easy to cause oscillation. This phenomenon only occurs in the gap of output voltage transition when the comparator changes state. Adding bypass filtering to the power supply cannot solve this problem, and the design of a standard PC board is helpful in reducing input output parasitic capacitance coupling. Reducing the input resistance to less than 10K Ω will reduce the feedback signal, and increasing even a small amount of positive and negative feedback (hysteresis of 1.0-10mV) can lead to fast switching, making it impossible to generate oscillations caused by parasitic capacitance. Unless hysteresis is used, directly inserting the IC and adding resistance to the pin will cause the input output to oscillate in a very short conversion period. If the input signal is pulse waveform and the rise and Fall time times are quite fast, hysteresis will not be required.
All unused pins of the comparator must be grounded.
The LM393 bias network has established that its static current is independent of the power supply voltage range of 2.0-30V.
Usually, the power supply does not require the addition of a bypass capacitor.
The differential input voltage can be greater than Vcc without damaging the device. The protection part must be able to prevent the input voltage from exceeding -0.3V towards the negative terminal.
The output part of LM393 is an NPN output transistor with Open collector and grounded emitter, which can be provided with or function by multiple collector output. The output load resistance can be connected to any power supply voltage within the allowable power supply voltage range, without being limited by the voltage value at the Vcc terminal. This output can be used as a simple ground to ground SPS open circuit (when no load resistor is used), and the notch current of the output part can be obtained by driving and device β Value is limited.
