Glenn, John & Taylor, Nick - John Glenn: A Memoir - Bantam Books: New York, 1999 - First Edition / First Printing - Complete number line, starting with “1”, present on the copyright page as required in order to denote the first printing of the first edition.

“As I hurtled through space, one thought kept crossing my mind - every part of this rocket was supplied by the lowest bidder.”

The book has a faint sticker ghost at the lower edge of the front panel and trivial shelf wear but is otherwise bright, tight, and pleasing. The text block has some spotting at the edges but internally this copy is clean. The dust jacket has a small nick and light soiling to the rear flap edge but is otherwise very well kept. This example has a signed and inscribed card that has been professionally tipped onto the top of the front end page. A very attractive and desirable copy of Glenn’s autobiography covering the time from his youth, through the space years, and into his time as a senator. A scarce signature from the third American to fly into space and the first to orbit this rock we call home.
