Stribling, T.S. - The Store - Doubleday Doran: New York, 1932 - First Edition / First Printing - “First Edition” stated on the copyright page as required in order to denote the first printing of the first edition.

The book has a hard bump to the upper front corner, sunning to the spine and edges, soiling, and wear to the two paper labels although the one on the front cover is still presentable. The binding is askew, cracked, and broken but the rest of the block is not loose. Internally the text block has a scattered stain or two but is free from writing. An acceptable copy of this exceedingly uncommon and sought after first edition. This title was the second in Stribling’s Vaiden trilogy which deals with northern Alabama post civil war. This novel is seeing something of a resurgence of late as the topics it so brutality tackles are still largely at the forefront of society. Winner of the 1933 Pulitzer Prize. This novel has always been one of the most difficult of the early Pulitzers to find in any condition.
