The book has trivial shelf wear and some small areas of gilt loss. Overall the boards are still very clean and attractive. The binding is square and firm and internally there are no bookplates, writing, or other blemishes. This copy is in full leather which is stamped on the covers and spine in gilt. The spine features two raised bands. The pages edges are all gilt and have some freckling. The end pages are moire and there is a sewn in silk page marker. This title features the illustrations of Robert Lawson. A solid and attractive example which has wonderful shelf presence.
