Ford, Richard - The Ultimate Good Luck - Houghton Mifflin: Boston, 1981 - First Edition / First Printing - Complete number line, starting with “1”, present on the copyright page as required in order to denote the first printing of the first edition.
“Strong, terrifying, eloquent… Ford makes the novel hum and churn, bubble and hiss, as if we had never seen locale and characters like this before.” - Soho News
The book has some minor shelf wear, a line to the lower front, and the cracking to the rear gutter which was a biding error that affects every copy of this title. The dust jacket has soiling, scattered stains and some shelf wear. A still presentable copy of the author’s unexpectedly uncommon second novel. While Ford’s first book is by no stretch common we have likely handled five copies of it for every one copy of this book which passes thru our hands.
