Early Antique Wheel Thrown Redware Storage Jar w/ Brown Manganese Lead Glaze
7.75 in h x 5.75 in diameter, c. 1820-50
Round cylinder shape with sloped shoulder, rolled mouth,
and rim at foot. Brown manganese over redware body, lead glaze. Hand molded from stacked rolls seamed (see fifth photo) to wheel turned upper section.
Very good but with five small chips to foot rim. No hairlines, cracks, or repairs.
