"Metropolitan Opera" Radio Show Transcription Discs

One complete approximately 60 minute radio program on these three 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm discs.  These discs were issued to Armed Forces Radio Stations for broadcast to U. S. Troops during World War Two and not available to the general public, very rare!

 These disc contain the Metropolitan Opera radio broadcast of February 10, 1945 featuring the 3rd and final act of "Die Meistersinger " by Richard Wagner from The Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.  

The broadcast joins the performance during the first scene of act 3, during the dialogue between Sachs (Hans Janssen) and Beckmesser (Gerhard Pechner), and includes the remainder of act 3 which concludes the program
