Following World War II, Greece endured a bitter civil war that ended a couple of months before this map was published in December 1949. The Classical Lands of the Mediterranean map celebrates the magnificent and interesting history of the Greek, Roman and Phoenician civilizations with informative inset maps and an abundance of notes about historical and mythological sites.
The map is in good to okay condition, there are signs of wear and tear in and around the map. There are also signs of marks, stains. Due to the age of the map there are discolouration in places, folds and creases. (Please see photos). Please note that each map may vary in condition and may or may not be the map as shown in the photos.
The map measures: 31.75 by 21.75 inches.
