A vintage Blue collector's plate commemorating Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address in 1863. The 10 1/2" pottery plate was made by Vernon Kilns of California in the 1940's and 1950's. They went out of business in the late 1950's. The plate features a portrait of Lincoln in the center, with 7 pictures of his various homes (including the White House) circling around him. His name is on the bottom of the plate, along with his titles. The back of the plate has the Gettysburg Address. There is a small chip on the upper right hand corner of the BACK of the plate. This does NOT affect the front of the plate AT ALL. There are no other marks, cracks, or chips. This is a lovely plate for the historian, collector, or Americana aficionado.
