Description

You are considering a Lionel 1919362 S Gauge American Flyer Cylindrical Hopper E-L #20023 - Brand New

Common on the rails from the 1960s to the early 2000s, the cylindrical covered hopper was a pioneer of the new high-capacity car designs that would revolutionize freight operations. Found on railroads across the continent, these cars hauled everything from grains to chemicals, salt to potash. Now back in the American Flyer lineup, Lionel's first S Scale freight car returns with an improved truck design that reduces ride height and simplifies conversion to scale wheels and couplers! Available in two road numbers each in six prototypical road names, these are the scale covered hoppers S Scalers have been asking for.

New redesigned trucks offer lower ride height and can be converted to scale wheels (not included)

Die-cast sprung trucks
Operating couplers (convertible to scale couplers, not included)
Opening roof hatches
Separately applied details
1:64 scale
