The Sox outslugged the Senators 9-6.   It was a home run fest at Comiskey Park.  Frank Howard blasted his 18th of the season (career #352), Also going deep for Washington were Don Mincher, Tommy McCraw and Lenny Randle. For the Sox it was, Rick Reichardt and Tom Egan.
