Antique Half Doll Pin Cushion Doll 7cm Tall Porcelain Lady Figure. Has a 2.5cm diameter base. One of the pin holes in the base is blocked. Cannot make out the number on the Doll's base...it's etched like normal but cannot make out all the numbers. Will add those details if possible.

Please check the photos -there are many close-ups -so you can see what condition she is in.

Half dolls or pin dolls were originally designed to disguise or decorate a variety of household objects such as pin cushions, face powder pots, or even tea cosies.

The half-dolls had the upper part of a human figure without legs so that they could be attached to something.

Voluminous skirts could be attached to the half-dolls using the holes on the base. These would then cover those household items.

Pretty ladies were the most popular half-doll figures - dressed in high fashion, scanty clothing, or nothing at all.
