Product Description

Narmoil is a blend of three oils: Fractionated coconut/palm oil, Sesame oil and Castor oil.  It is vegan, non-GMO and paraben free. Massaging with our oil may help make your skin soft and glow. Each of the oils used in our formulation has its own benefits.

1. Fractionated coconut/Palm oil: Fractionated coconut/palm oil contains C8 and C10 fatty acids. It is processed in a way that removes all long chain fatty acids, leaving only medium chain fatty acids. This liquid form of coconut oil has several skin benefits. It is non-greasy and absorbs easily into the skin. It is an excellent moisturizer.

2. Castor oil: Castor oil helps in promoting skin hydration. When applied onto the skin, it prevents water loss from the outer layer of the skin.  It is rich in mono-saturated fatty acid, which moisturizes skin.  Castor oil is also rich in ricinoleic acid, which imparts anti-inflammatory properties. Castor oil is a natural oil, which helps keep the skin moisturized, hydrated, and bacteria free, making it smoother and alluring.

3. Sesame seed oil: Sesame oil is extracted from Sesamum indicum seeds.  It is an excellent source of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins.  This combination may help in rejuvenating your skin and make it smoother and gentler. This is one of the most widely and commonly used oil in Ayurveda and is often referred to as the “King of Oils”.  It is highly regarded for its ability to penetrate the skin for easy absorption, which makes it excellent choice for skin massage, especially for those with dry skin.

4. Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether:  Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether is a liquid/solvent, which has a long history of use in cosmetic and over-the-counter topically applied products. It is frequently utilized in topical formulations (dermal drug delivery systems), and transdermal delivery systems.

5. Isododecane:  Isododecane is a colorless, water-insoluble liquid/solvent.  It is a hydrocarbon that is most often used as an emollient and solvent in skin care products. It feels weightless on skin and makes Narmoil easy to spread due to its low viscosity and density. It also helps to prevent evaporation of water from the skin.

6. Isosorbide dicaprylate (IDC):  IDC upregulate the expression of AQP3, CD44 and proteins involved in keratinocyte differentiation as well as the formation and function of stratum corneum.  A direct comparison between 2% IDC versus 2% glycerol lotions revealed a three-fold advantage of IDC in providing skin hydration. Topical IDC favorably modulates genes involved in the maintenance of skin structure and function, resulting in superior clinical outcomes.
