A perfect, aesthetically pleasing fire rated air valve for use where the integrity of a fire wall or ceiling needs to be maintained.
In the event of a fire, a fire resistant block is formed within the grille to provide protection to Building Regulation, BS and EN standards. The special flame and fire retardant material inside the vent will block fire for 60 for the minutes acting like a fire damper.

Fire resistant at Warrington to BS EN 1365-2:1999 & BS 476.

This is an important Building Regulation requirement as it reduces the risk of fire spreading through the duct to different rooms.

USES


Our Fire Rated Ceiling Air Valves have been developed to provide maximum protection for penetrations created by Air Valves fitted in fire rated ceilings. The Fire Rated Air Valves do not require any additional supports or fixing and can be fitted as normal.

The unique intumescent gasket material does not restrict the air flow of the air valves. However, in a fire situation, the material rapidly expands to seal off the open air valve. The penetration is then sealed against the spread of fire and the fire rating of the ceiling construction is maintained.
