Dershowitz, Alan M. - Taking Liberties: A Decade of Hard Cases, Bad Laws, and Bum Raps - Contemporary Books: Chicago, 1988 - First Edition / First Printing - No statement of edition or mention of later printings present on the copyright page as required in order to denote the first printing of the first edition.
The book has minor shelf wear and some spotting to the end pages but otherwise has no real visible flaws— a bright, tight and clean example. The dust jacket has light shelf wear but no other faults. This example has been signed and inscribed by Dershowitz on the front end page. Additionally Dershowitz’s second wife, Carolyn (Carolyn Cohen to whom he is still married), has signed and warmly inscribed the end page. We obtained a collection of signed works by Dershowitz which were signed to a cousin and their spouse. Dershowitz is the famed lawyer who was the youngest man to ever become a full law professor at Harvard and will always be most remembered for his involvement in the O.J. Simpson, Mike Tyson, Patty Hearst, and Jim Bakker cases. A book which is uncommon with a meaningful association such as this.
