Freuchen, Peter (editor: Freuchen, Dagmar) - The Peter Freuchen Reader - Julian Messner: New York, 1965 - First Edition / First Printing - No statement of edition or mention of later printings present on the copyright page as required in order to denote the first printing of the first edition.

The book has some wear to the spine ends and some minor rubbing. The boards remain pleasingly clean and straight, the lettering on the spine is bright and legible, binding is square and firm, and internally there is trace tanning but no writing or other markings. The dust jacket is tanned, soiled, chipped, and otherwise worn. This example is signed and inscribed by Dagmar Fruechen on the half title page and as such is exceptionally uncommon. A selection of Peter Fruechen’s writings. An uncommon book of which we can locate no other copies currently on the market with the inscription of the then late author/explorer’s wife.
