Neoveitchia storckii Palm Tree Neoveitchia storckii is a stately and endangered palm endemic to the island of Viti Levu, Fiji. N. storckii is a solitary, stout palm with a beautiful ringed “mocha” colored trunk on an expanded base. It can grow up to 40 feet tall with a full very “leafy” canopy of 12-15 fronds. Fronds of up to 16 feet in length have heavy leaflets that arch out with a characteristic lateral twist. The crown shaft is glossy and nearly black in color. Neoveitchia storckii is an easy grow, not picky regarding soil and drought tolerant when established.
