Our Hickory BBQ Seasoning can be used to flavor meat or vegetables prior to cooking. Rub or sprinkle on about 1 tablespoon of seasoning per pound of meat or vegetables. It can also be used as a base to flavor a homemade barbecue sauce.
Hardwoods such as hickory, due to their composition, caramelize food as they burn, producing sweet, slightly fruity aromas in addition to the strong smoke flavor imparted. This makes them particularly well suited to barbecuing.
