Matchbox Y-16 1904 Spyker Tourer Toy Car In Box | Lesney Models of Yesteryear

The brand was given its name because the original die-cast Matchbox toys were sold in boxes similar to those in which matches were sold. The Model of Yesteryear range was introduced in 1956 with the release of the Y-1 Allchin Traction Engine. Like all of the vehicles modeled by Lesney, the Yesteryears were not made to a particular scale but were made to fit a standard size box. This Lesley's model of the Dutch built 1904 Spyker is yellow with gold trim to the headlight and sidelights. The seats are dark green, and the tires are black plastic. Vintage original box is in very nice condition with solid flaps and edges. There are a couple paint nicks and the seats need to be fastened more securely, otherwise the condition is very good. Please review the photos and message me with any questions.
