A variant of the BR 216 in the version of a BR V 160 of the DB in Era III. The V 160 series or In the 1960s and 1970s, 216 was the express train locomotive for routes without contact wires on the Federal Railroad. The model of this important vehicle type not only closes a gap in PIKO 's N range, but will enrich many model railway systems from eras III to V with its numerous variants. The development team has implemented the distinctive shape of the model in the model with outstanding quality and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics. The model is based on the first series machine from the Bundesbahn's V160 series in the classic colors and lettering of Era III. Striking distinguishing features are the series bogies, the roof without a silencer, the straight frame front of the series machine and the modified front grill.
