1940s Era Vintage Roller Skating Bundle

George and Helen Amos were a professional roller skating duo who made a living by
travelling around the country performing and dancing in competitions during the late 1940s.
It is said that George was an integral part of the development of the polyurethane wheel and
it is believed that the wheels in this auction are some of the first off the production line!

  • 16 Original NOS Velvet Tread Wood (maple) Roller Wheels
  • 12+ Original NOS Clear Polyurethane Wheels - front & back (some still wrapped in 1940s newspaper!)
  • One set of 4 - Original Blue Polyurethane Wheels - used
  • One set of 4 - Original Translucent Pink Polyurethane Wheels - used
  • NOS means new old stock, in original, unused condition! What a score!

  • One pair of USED Women's White Leather Roller Skates-Size 5 1/2-with polyurethane wheels in original metal case (silver) 
  • One pair of  USED Men's Black Leather Roller Skates-size unknown/guessing about a 9-with polyurethane wheels in original metal case (green) with cool vintage stickers
  • These skates are in overall good condition for age and use, not without obvious
    flaws (see photos.) Use for parts or as an awesome display/museum piece. Fantastic!
