 Ptychosperma macarthurii Tropical Palm Tree   Ptychosperma macarthurii originally from northeastern Australia and areas of New Guinea is a medium sized clustering palm that has become widely distributed as an ornamental. Stems grow in dense clumps up to 20 feet tall and only 3 inches in diameter, thus appearing bamboo-like.    Ptychosperma macarthurii enjoys full sun, partial sun or partial shade and is tolerant of a wide range of soils making it an easy and widely adaptable palm. The MacArthur Palm will also do well as an indoor/outdoor potted plant.   Macarthurii is fast growing and clusters dense enough to make a tall hedge.
