It was instituted on 12th Jan 1945 but it is believed only awarded on paper during WW2. It was awarded to veterans in 1957.Awarded for shooting down aircraft with small arms or light machine-gun fire.
It was awarded in two classes:
Gold (for five successes)
Silver (one for each success)
Uncleaned, nice condition showing some wear and patina. It would clean up nice if desired. Brass construction, nice details, and great 3D design. No maker marks.
