Custom Titanium Axis Lock Anodized in BRIGHT PURPLE
to fit the Benchmade Mini Osborne 945 Series Knives.

(This part is for the 945BK-1 and 945 MINI OSBORNE, Not the larger 940, 943, 940-1 or 940-2 knives)


The 945 factory Axis lock is not titanium.

Upgrade the standard axis lock to an ANODIZED BRIGHT PURPLE Rust Proof Titanium Axis Lock.

Not only do they look great but they are also lighter than the factory standard version.

Notes on Anodizing:
The factory Benchmade 945 Standoffs are made from ALUMINUM. My ones are TITANIUM.
It is very hard to do an exact color match as they are on 2 different materials and uses
different anodizing processes. My TITANIUM parts will be hand anodized to a similar
BRIGHT PURPLE color but please note this will not be an exact match to the factory
aluminum standoffs. Please be aware of this by viewing the pictures for more details.
By purchasing this set you are agreeing to this color difference.

This Custom Titanium Axis Lock is a direct replacement for the Benchmade 945 Series Knives.

What is included in this sale is only 1 x Titanium Axis Lock to fit the original
Benchmade 945. Consisting of 1 x BRIGHT PURPLE Anodized part in total. 

INSTALLATION WARNING:

THE BENCHMADE AXIS LOCKING SYSTEM IS QUITE FIDDLY TO TAKE APART AND RE-INSTALL.
YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE YOUR WHOLE KNIFE APART IN ORDER TO INSTALL THIS PART.
THERE ARE 2 WIRE SPRINGS HOLDING IT ALL TOGETHER. SO BE CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE
THESE SPRINGS AS THEY ARE VITAL FOR A FUNCTIONING AXIS LOCK.
THERE WILL ALSO BE A SLIGHT COMPROMISE IN BLADE OPENING SMOOTHNESS FROM THE
TITANIUM PART RUBBING ON THE BLADE TANG AREA. POSSIBLY LUBE OR POLISHING THE
TANG CAN HELP. THE AXIS LOCK BAR COMES ALREADY POLISHED TO A SMOOTH SURFACE.
BY PURCHASING THIS ITEM YOU ARE AWARE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED AND THAT DAMAGE
OR THE POTENTIAL FOR MISSING PARTS COULD OCCUR AS A RESULT OF TAKING OUT THE
ORIGINAL AXIS LOCK BAR. YOU ALONE WILL BE TAKING FULL RESPONSIBLY FOR ANY SUCH
DAMAGE OR LOSS. (THE BENCHMADE WARRANTY MIGHT NOT COVER THESE TYPES OF MODS)
IF YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT IN TAKING APART AND PUTTING YOUR KNIFE BACK TOGETHER
(OR IF ANYTHING ELSE GOES WRONG),  IT IS BEST NOT TO BUY THIS ITEM.

To install this Custom Titanium part, good quality Torx tools will be needed.
(Such as Wiha Torx tools)

Once you have received a colored titanium product. It may appear to have lost color once touched,
this is only just the oil from your hands. If the oil has been cleaned off the color will come back.
Use acetone or nail polish remover to clean the oil off the anodized surface.
The custom anodizing will look new again!

You will need to confirm that you understand, NO KNIVES ARE FOR SALE.

International orders are sent via Airmail and usually take around 3-4 weeks to arrive to you.
However orders can take longer to arrive depending on your country's air mailing delivery system.
Please do not buy if you cannot agree to this. All International items are sent via Airmail.

Anodized Titanium Cleaning Tip:

To maintain the look of your new titanium parts.

Wipe clean with some Acetone but at the same time

be careful NOT to get Acetone on any G10 or Carbon knife scales.
