This composite AV cable is a brand new replacement for the Sega Mega Drive 2 and 3 (Genesis 2 and 3). It connects your console to any TV or monitor with standard RCA inputs — yellow for composite video, red and white for stereo audio. At 1.8 metres long, the cable provides plenty of reach between your console and your TV.
Unlike the original Mega Drive, which required a headphone connection for stereo sound, the Mega Drive 2 outputs stereo audio directly through its AV port. This cable delivers both left and right audio channels to your TV straight away. Strain-relief plugs on all connectors ensure a reliable, long-lasting connection.
Important Compatibility Note: This cable is for the Mega Drive 2 and 3 (Genesis 2 and 3) only, which use a 9-pin mini-DIN AV connector. It is not compatible with the original Mega Drive 1 or Genesis 1, which use a different, larger DIN connector. This cable also works with the Sega 32X and Sega Nomad.
