This rare and collectable 50p coin is dedicated to the legendary character Sherlock Holmes. The design is based on the original illustrations of the famous detective created by Sidney Paget and features the silhouette of Holmes with his pipe and the words "Sherlock Holmes" on the obverse. The reverse shows the iconic image of the Royal Mint's shield with the denomination of the coin, 50 pence, and the year of issue, 2019.
