The People's Bank of China issued Chinese Yuan banknotes including this 2 Er Jiao banknote China (1962 issue). They are part of the Chinese Yuan withdrawn Renminbi banknotes series. The People's Bank of China started issuing these 0.2 Chinese Yuan banknotes in 1962. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1980.
