The Andrea Gail, a non -inspected commercial fishing boat started from Gloucester Harbor, Massachusetts, on September 20, 1991 with six crew members on board. The crew intended to make a swordfish fishing trip in the Grand Banks area of Terranova, Canada. The ship and six crew members remain dispersed and is presumed to be dispersed at sea due to a strong storm, defined by a meteorologist the "perfect storm" and made famous by the book by Sebastian Junger (the book was then transformed into a Hollywood film).
