Heavy pure brass-cast command plaque mounted on hardwood base from the USS Buchanan DDG-14,  a Charles F. Adams-class Guided Missile Destroyer that served The Fleet from 1962 through 1991. The heavy brass plaque measures 6" x 8.5"; the large hard-wood base measures 10" x 14". Overall the piece is in very good+ antique condition. There's a mounting groove in the back for convenient wall hanging. The pics were shot with and without a flash.
