  • Obverse: Features the classic Seated Lady Liberty with a unique pattern surrounded by the inscriptions “THE EAST INDIA COMPANY” and “TRADE DOLLAR”. Liberty is sitting upon a throne of bales. A sheaf of wheat rests behind her and in her right hand she holds an olive branch symbolizing peace. In her left hand, a scroll with the word “LIBERTY” on it unfurls along the side of her throne.
  • Reverse: Depicts the right-facing profile of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue and the face value. A Chinese scroll-pattern is also featured around the perimeter.
