Panel mounted DC to DC converter from Meanwell. For home, industry, transport, railway, ITE, telecom etc. Contant current output makes it ideal for driving motors, lamps and highly capacitive devices (e.g LED drivers or other DC-DC converters). All units provide short circuit, overload (OLP), over voltage (OVP) and input reverse polarity protection. They also incorporate low input voltage shutdown. The 150W and above units include Over Temperature Protection (OTP). All units have FIXED outputs except the RSD-500 where the voltage can be set to 13.8V, 27.6V and 55.2V if required. They also come semi-potted to resist moisture, vibration and allow fan-free operation. The Battery Backup example shows a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) which drives multiple RSD units for simultaneous 5V, 12V and 24V outputs.

The RSD30 series provides 3.3V@6A (3.3 x 6 = 20W), 5V@6A, 12V@2.5A or 24V@1.25A. They operate from 9-36VDC (type G = 12V or 24V battery), 18-72VDC (type L = 24V or 48V battery), 40-160VDC (type H). Weighs 0.25kg, size 113x60x25mm.

The RSD60 series provides 3.3V@12A (3.3 x 12 = 40W), 5V@12A, 12V@5A or 24V@2.5A. They operate from 9-36VDC (type G = 12V or 24V battery), 18-72VDC (type L = 24V or 48V battery), 40-160VDC (type H). Weighs 0.29kg, size 128x60x25mm.

The RSD100 series provides 5V@20A, 12V@8.4A or 24V@4.2A. They operate from 17-31VDC (type B = 24V battery), 34-62VDC (type C = 48V battery), 68-143VDC (type D).

MEAN WELL Enterprises Co., is a Taiwan based company started in 1982 with strong ties worldwide (some well-known companies re-badge their products) and they provide excellent support and backup. Meanwell is a TQM (Total Quality Management) company and is ISO9001 certified. In 2017, the 2-year return rate was 1 in 6600. Meanwell power supplies are extremely reliable in our experience with only one unit DOA (Dead On Arrival) that was replaced and three returned during the warranty period in the 15+ years we have been selling... one power supply had been installed in a control box outdoors (for advertising) and had been attacked by a nest of ants! Some "on-the-web" comments... 1. "I have hundreds of 600 Watt 24V Meanwells running in the field and probably another 100+ 350Watt 5V running in the field and they are the most reliable piece of equipment compared to everything else. I've -never- replaced one in over 11 years, but I have replaced a lot of cruddy circuit boards designed or assembled by the less technically inclined (companies).", 2.
