Adelaide Hoodless was a founder of the Victorian Order of Nurses and helped found both the National YWCA and NCWC.
Marie-Josephine Gerin-Lajoie was the first woman to receive a BA degree from a French-Canadian institute of higher learning.
Pitseolak Ashoona was one of Canada's best known Inuit graphic artists.
Helen Kinnear became the first federally-appointed woman judge in Canada.
