DT Swiss R460 deep light alloy rims. 23mm deep x 23mm wide. Internal width is 18mm. 32/32 spokes. Rim brake only. Gloss black finish with machined brake tracks. Suitable for tyre sizes between 23mm and 32mm. Can be used tubeless or with Presta valve tubes. Suitable for a system (rider+bike+luggage) weight up to 110kg. DT Swiss R460 rims are an economical workhorse of a rim, good looking and sturdy. Hubs are Miche Primato in black. Road bike standard 100mm wide front hub and 130mm wide rear hub. Suitable for 11 speed Shimano/SRAM road and 8,9 and 10 speed Shimano/SRAM cassettes with the supplied spacer. The hubs contain high quality sealed bearings which are very free running and last well. These are easily replaced when worn with simple hand tools.
The spokes are high quality Belgian made silver Sapim Race 2.0/1.8/2.0 double butted. Double butted spokes are both lighter and stronger for their diameter than standard plain gauge spokes. Made from 100% stainless steel and fastened with brass nipples. The wheels are laced in a 3x pattern for the best compromise of strength and weight. Total wheelset weight is a respectable 1750g for 24/28 spokes and 1815g for a stronger 32/32 spoke pair. This can be reduced with optional lighter spokes and hubs - see below.

All our wheels are handbuilt to order to the same high standards. Race wheels are true to +or- 0.2mm and spokes uniformly tensioned to within 5% a side.
