If a unit is out-of-stock we may be able to get the non "R" type and if you add an external relay and diode an equivalent function can be provided.
NOTE: the 55V version does not comply with Household EN60335-1 safety, plus the UHP-200A is not recommended for domestic applications (class A type, may cause radio interference). The 55V output is useful for PoE (Power Over Ethernet) perhaps mounting the unit (or redundant pair of units) in a metal 1U 19" rack case! The LSP and UHP series require attachment to a metal sheet for conduction cooling and operation at full power output (see data sheet).
The LSP-160 and all UHP (Ultra High Performance) power supplies have a low-profile* are fan-less, semi-potted design (enhances heat dissipation and vibration resistance) and come with a 3 year warranty. It's smaller in size, has a wider temperature operation and is more efficient (less heat dissipated) than older series. All models come with "active" PFC+ a requirement for LED lighting applications (and the reason those "cheap" power supplies should not even be considered). For a video on adjusting the output voltage... click here. NOTE: Meanwell sets all voltages at 50% output current... an insulated pot adjust tool is recommended... connecting to ALL output terminals is recommended as damage to terminals or the PCB can occur otherwise!
*All power supplies have a low height profile with the LSP-160 having only 20mm in height! Ideal for use in thin-screen video systems. Also as the LSP-160 and the UHP-200A have no ventilation holes at the top they don't require any ventilation clearance, provided they are mounted on a metal plate... the full output wattage of 200W is then available up to 50 degrees C!
These 160W, 200W, 350W and 500W (watt) power supplies operate from 100 to 240VAC and provide an output voltage adjustable by more than +/-5% (see data sheet... e.g. all UHP "R" type 5V units can be adjusted to 4.5V output to replace battery operated systems). All Meanwell LSP and UHP units have active PFC+, hiccup mode on overload and short circuit with automatic recovery. They also have over temperature protection (with automatic recovery except LRS-160 switch off and on again) and over voltage protection (switch off and on again to recover except UHP-200A which has auto recovery). The "R" type allows redundant operation, where 2 units are connected in parallel and when one unit fails the other takes over. A DC OK signal is provided. The DC OK signal indicates when a unit's output has shutdown (see data sheet). NOTE: The "R" type can be used alone with the output diode providing some protection against voltage feedback from external sources (they do not shutdown OVP) and the DC OK signal useful for detecting output voltage failure!

All Meanwell products have a 2 to 7 year warranty. MEAN WELL Enterprises Co., is a Taiwan based company started in 1982 with strong ties worldwide (some well-known companies re-badge their products) and they provide excellent support and backup. Meanwell is a TQM (Total Quality Management) company and is ISO9001 certified. In 2017, the 2-year return rate was 1 in 6600. Meanwell power supplies are extremely reliable in our experience with only one unit DOA (Dead On Arrival) that was replaced and three returned during the warranty period in the 15+ years we have been selling... one power supply had been installed in a control box outdoors (for advertising) and had been attacked by a nest of ants! Meanwell now offers a range of fully sealed units (IP65 and IP67 rated)... please ask us for advice for outdoor and hazardous environments. For a company video - click here. PLEASE NOTE: MeanWell, means what it says "Power Supplies are like the hearts of machines and equipment providing stable electric current over time so that machines can operate smoothly. Reliability is essential as the cost of a power failure is often greater than the cost of the power supply!"
Some "on-the-web" comments... 1. "I have hundreds of 600 Watt 24V Meanwells running in the field and probably another 100+ 350Watt 5V running in the field and they are the most reliable piece of equipment compared to everything else. I've -never- replaced one in over 11 years, but I have replaced a lot of cruddy circuit boards designed or assembled by the less technically inclined (companies).", 2. "But in the end I've learnt a lesson here and that is spend the extra cash and buy some quality power supplies like the meanwell brand or else you could be in for a very frustrating time but I don't have the budget for that this year so I'll have to deal with what I have (sad face)". 3. Need a decent power supply... I can recommend mean well supplies. They are low end industrial supplies but are good quality, much better than no-name chinese supplies you can get from ebay etc.. I use mean well in lots of equipment and have had very few failures in thousands of hours of run time.
We also provide a download (or CDROM on request) with the documentation in PDF format and other information on Meanwell products.
All goods sold in Australia include GST, a tax invoice is provided.
EXPRESS DELIVERY INCLUDED.
*a re-written user manual is provided (also in PDF format on CD-ROM) because we care that all products that we sell have clear and easily readable information and instructions with adequate warnings about any dangers or precautions that need to be taken! Beware of "fakes" and "look-a-likes" (with logos of "M&W", "MiWi", "WH", "WeHo", "WaW" for example) these are often cheap, low quality products that do not meet the safety requirements for use in Australia. Also beware of purchasing this product from overseas as an Australian Warranty will not be provided. This unit has exposed 240VAC terminals and must be installed inside a suitable enclosure according to local electrical authority regulations. +NOTE, any power supply above 150W that does not have POWER FACTOR CORRECTION does not meet C-TICK or EMI requirements for use, on 240VAC mains, in Australia! DO NOT BUY such power supplies, including the Meanwell SE-450, SE-600 and SE-1000 (even if offered on Ebay). You can generally tell if a high-wattage (> 150W) power supply does NOT have "active" PFC because it will have a switch to select 115VAC or 230VAC. The advantage of "active" PFC is that not only is the AC mains current reduced (and of course "in phase" with voltage... something that power companies prefer), but the electrical interference (EMI) is reduced (less harmonics) BUT also it stablises the input allowing the AC voltage to vary greatly WITHOUT having to use a SWITCH which activates voltage doubling when the AC input is less than 180VAC.
