A Gravy Ladle by John Gilbert, English Silverplate! It feature the Bute family crest and the motto "avito viret honore." I believe this piece to be silverplate with a brassy gold wash over the silverplate. It measures approximately 7" long and is in used condition with scratches and wear to the gold wash.
