APPLICATION

• 24 AWG 50 Pairs PE-89 Outside Plant Telephone Cable is primarily used for either exchange area or trunk service installed in duct or directly buried.

CONDUCTOR

• Solid soft drawn bare copper conductor.

INSULATION

• Expanded polyethylene (Foam Skin) with an external layer of solid, high-density polyethylene insulation, with a distinctive color code, which conforms to telephone industry standards. The conductors are twisted in pairs and then cabled together to be round. The core is filled with an ETPR compound.

INNER JACKET

• Black polyethylene inner jacket.

SHIELD

• Corrugated 8-mil thick aluminum tape shield applied longitudinally over the inner jacket.

OUTER JACKET

• Black, linear, low-density, high molecular weight polyethylene jacket.
