Designed from the core with features to perform in all hard-water environments, the Convergence Ice spinning rods are equally fit for hopping holes in sub-zero temperatures or long sessions in the hut. Shimano packed the Convergence Ice series with angler-minded features to create maximum enjoyment and performance while on the ice. The 40MH and 42H models feature a flat custom-cut EVA rear grip to provide extra leverage for bracing against the forearm when fighting larger trophy-class fish.  All models in the Convergence Ice series feature Zirconia guides, while the Ultra-Light, Light and Medium-Light models also incorporate lightweight coil guides. Thoughtfully located, Shimano placed the hook keeper a bit further from the reel seat to provide a more comfortable zone for direct finger placement on the blank for improved sensitivity. Engineered with purpose and to better match angler preferences, Shimano built the new Convergence Ice series with features to maximize performance.
