Please message me for out-of-stock units as these can often be obtained ex-factory within 5 working days at no additional cost! ALL ex-factory units have the UN (Universal) AC socket. Note, any item with ONE(1) in stock comes ex-factory (please message me if you require more than one). For a promotional video... click here

NEW! DESIGNED FOR LEAD-ACID BATTERIES (SLA, AGM) AND LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES (lithium iron, LiFePO4, or lithium maganese, which are higher in voltage).

The NTS range of inverters is a TSW (True Sine Wave) or PSW (Pure Sine Wave) inverter (DC to AC) from MEANWELL. It is smaller and more efficient (up to 40% less heat generated), better reliability (MTBF = Mean Time Before Failure... 2 to 3 times better), better low temperature operation (down to minus 25 degrees C) and high temperature (up to 70 degrees C) than the TS series*. Currently available in 300W, 450W, 750W, 1200W, 1700W, 2200W, 3200W with 12V, 24V and 48V input.

These are now available for Australian conditions with 240VAC~ output and AU/NZ mains sockets (however a UN universal socket will be supplied when it comes ex-factory). The NEW feature is the setting of AC voltage output and frequency by simple DIP switch and the option to set the unit to shutdown when less than 10 Watts AC is being drawn. *The NTS-300 replaces the TS-200, NTS-450 replaces TS-400 and the NTS-750 replaces TS-700. Now Available! NTS-1200 replaces TS-1000 and the NTS-1700 replaces TS-1500. NTS-2200 and NTS-3200 replaces TS-3000. For video showing how to set the inverter's DIP switches for AC voltage and frequency see @1:43... click here

Seller's tests conducted on the 450W unit: 1500W electric mower (shutdown), 1500W circular saw (shutdown), 1200W fan heater (fan worked but the heater shutdown the inverter), 1000W power supply (it took 2 or 3 off/on cycles to startup... due to input capacitors charging up) I could draw over 500W of power before the inverter shutdown. 500W hedge trimmer (worked fine not tested under load), 400W variable-speed hammer drill (fine even under load), 350W variable-speed milling machine (worked fine not tested under load), 250W circular sander (fine even under load), 150W desk computers x2 with displays and audio amp (All OK, laser printer no good, but ink-jet would be fine), 100W lamp with dimmer (good dimming range), 22W flourescent lamp with ballast (no problem unlike MSW inverter however suggest using LED tubes or electronic ballast), 54W standing fan (no noise or overheating unlike a MSW inverter), 80W soldering iron (fine).

Seller's tests conducted on the 750W unit: The NTS-750 does everything above with ease. The hedge trimmer could be used at full load, and the 1000W power supply would provide up to 850 Watts of output before shutting down. I also tried powering our SMALL central gas heating system and it worked fine with this inverter (our LARGE central gas heating system would not). A small refrigerator or air-conditioner "could" also work with this unit, our large home frig, of course, would not work. In summary, the NTS-450-212 would be the maximum I would recommend to use on a car's 12V battery, whereas the NTS-750-224 would be the maximum recommended for use on a truck's 24V battery. NOTE: unless you have a deep-cycle battery we recommend ALWAYS running the engine when your inverter is operating under load!

All Meanwell products have a 2 to 7 year warranty. MEAN WELL Enterprises Co., is a Taiwan based company started in 1982 with strong ties worldwide (some well-known companies re-badge their products) and they provide excellent support and backup. Meanwell is a TQM (Total Quality Management) company and is ISO9001 certified. In 2017, the 2-year return rate was 1 in 6600. Meanwell power supplies are extremely reliable in our experience with only one unit DOA (Dead On Arrival) that was replaced and three returned during the warranty period in the 15+ years we have been selling... one power supply had been installed in a control box outdoors (for advertising) and had been attacked by a nest of ants! Meanwell now offers a range of fully sealed units (IP65 and IP67 rated)... please ask us for advice for outdoor and hazardous environments. For a company video - click here. PLEASE NOTE: MeanWell, means what it says "Power Supplies are like the hearts of machines and equipment providing stable electric current over time so that machines can operate smoothly. Reliability is essential as the cost of a power failure is often greater than the cost of the power supply!"

Some "on-the-web" comments... 1. "I have hundreds of 600 Watt 24V Meanwells running in the field and probably another 100+ 350Watt running in the field and they are the most reliable piece of equipment compared to everything else. I've -never- replaced one in over 11 years, but I have replaced a lot of cruddy circuit boards designed or assembled by the less technically inclined (companies).", 2. "But in the end I've learnt a lesson here and that is spend the extra cash and buy some quality power supplies like the meanwell brand or else you could be in for a very frustrating time but I don't have the budget for that this year so I'll have to deal with what I have (sad face)", 3. Need a decent power supply... I can recommend mean well supplies. They are low end industrial supplies but are good quality, much better than no-name chinese supplies you can get from ebay etc.. I use mean well in lots of equipment and have had very few failures in thousands of hours of run time.
