A 1.25" pinback button with a quote from Saturday Night Live that took on a life of its own.

In the 1986 SNL skit 'Get a Life!', written by Bob Odenkirk & Judd Apatow, William Shatner (the actual guest host of SNL that night) basically plays himself at a science fiction convention. After being barraged by personal questions by people who are obviously VERY devoted to the show, he finally explodes: "GET A LIFE, will you people? I mean, for crying out loud, it's just a TV show! I mean, look at you, look at the way you're dressed! You've turned an enjoyable little job, that I did as a lark for a few years, into a COLOSSAL WASTE OF TIME!"

(This explosion is blamed on the Evil Duplicate Kirk, needless to say).

The quote later became: an autobiographal book in which William Shatner learned to love the world of Star Trek fandom a little bit more; a documentary about fandom based on that same book; the title of a TV series starring Chris Elliott; and - a Super Mario Brothers rallying cry (?!)
