Replace those worn out bump stops with these GM Performance replacement front bump stops. These performance bumps stops are original equipment on the Z71 off road package model trucks. These bump stops are made of a firmer material and will take much more abuse.
Your normal ride will be unaffected, but when you hit larger bumps, it will be a bit stiffer. This will help control bottoming out of the suspension much better than the original rounded bump stops. We have found that these performance bump stops are made from a much firmer material, but the pointed shape helps keeps them from being too firm on the small bumps. Futhermore the thinner lower flat area is much beefier. This is the part of the bump stop that comes into play when you fully bottom out the suspension. This little area is what keeps the control arm from making contact with the frame. This area of the bump stop takes a lot of abuse and the original rounded units get hammered pretty bad in this area. All around these bump stops will hold up a lot better and help control suspension bottoming much more effectively than the original rounded units.
