Synopsis:

She was yesterday. He was today. There are moments when everyone is the same age.

On a London train, a wealthy suburbanite (Jean Simmons - Spartacus, Elmer Gantry, Guys And Dolls) meets a middle-class young man (Leonard Whiting - Romeo And Juliet) who invites himself into her first-class compartment. Whiting Immediately starts an outrageous Conversation with Simmons and she is both stunned and intrigued by the young man's audacity. Eventually, though, she orders the daring young man to leave, threatening to pull the emergency cord if he doesn't. Thus begins a romantic game of cat and mouse between to lonely people on the opposite ends of the social ladder. From the street of London to an upscale uptown bedroom, the two soon enjoy a mutually satisfying liaison that sparks long dormant emotions in both. When things start to get more serious, however, their feelings are put to the ultimate test when their differenced in age and maturity finally come into play.
