This item is a cute little vintage sitting, grinning donkey or burro salt or pepper shaker. It is one only, not a pair.  It has a very toothy grin on its face. There is a cork stopper in the hole in the bottom and it is marked JAPAN.  It is about 3 1/2" tall. Good used condition with crazing. The tips of the ears are rough to the touch and one tip has a small fleabite. A very cute little guy for your collection..
