It is quite well known for its beneficial values, including low sodium levels. It is usually used for making Chutneys, Raitas, Chaats and other kind of snacks, for imparting a different type of aroma apart from use as salt. This salt can even be used in ice cream! It is believes to be healthier as compared to other salts and commonly find use in beverages, such as lemonades and others.
