Although these two pie plates can be distinguished by being of a different time, they are a perfect match, because one is just one half inch smaller than the other, and therefore the smaller one fits perfectly inside the larger one. The smaller pie pan does have a rough edge covering roughly 4 inches worth of outer space, but it isn't so bad that it would cut you, because although rougher, the edge is a bit smoothed out.
