To ensure a secure and long-lasting fit, please follow these steps carefully:
Surface Preparation: Clean the upper headlight cowl area thoroughly using a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol. Ensure the surface is completely free of dust, wax, or polish.
Apply Adhesion Promoter (3M Primer): Apply a thin layer of 3M Adhesion Promoter to the area where the mounting base (3M tape) will be attached. Wait about 30–60 seconds for the primer to become tacky.
Positioning the Mounting Base: Peel off the 3M tape backing from the black mounting base. Align it carefully and press down firmly across the entire surface for at least 30 seconds to ensure maximum contact.
Final Assembly: Once the base is securely attached, align the windshield over the mounting points and secure it using the provided brackets and bolts. Do not over-tighten the bolts to prevent cracking the plastic.
Curing Time: For the best results, do NOT move the motorcycle or ride for at least 24 hours after installation. The 3M adhesive requires this time to fully cure and reach maximum strength.
Weather Exposure: Avoid exposing the motorcycle to direct sunlight, rain, or moisture during the first 24 hours of curing.
High-Speed Warning: Do not test the windshield at high speeds immediately after installation. Wait until the curing process is complete.
Cleaning Care: Use only mild soap and water to clean the windshield. Avoid using harsh chemicals or gasoline, as they can cause the material to cloud or crack.
