Properties

• Self-Lubricating: Naturally low coefficient of friction with excellent sliding and wear resistance. Ideal for moving parts without the need for additional lubrication.
• High Strength & Stiffness: Tensile strength of 66 MPa and tensile modulus of 3,000 MPa. Capable of withstanding significant mechanical loads -- a true metal replacement.
• Excellent Machinability: One of the easiest engineering plastics to machine. Produces clean chips, holds tight tolerances, and does not gum up cutting tools.
• High Dimensional Stability: Moisture absorption of just 0.80% at saturation. Parts hold their shape and tolerances even in wet or humid conditions.
• Chemical Resistance: Resistant to solvents, oils, fuels, and alkalis (pH 4-13). Superior to Acetal H (Homopolymer / Delrin) in chemical and hot water environments.
• Impact Resistant: Unnotched impact strength shows no break under test conditions. Maintains toughness down to -50°C.
• Low Risk of Centreline Porosity: Copolymer structure eliminates the voids and bubbles found in homopolymer grades -- critical for high-precision machining and turning.
