This is a lovely little plate, likely part of a tea set. You can imagine someone like Jane Austen serving biscuits on it. It is English, dating 1790-1820. Purchased at auction in Manchester in 1975.
It is plain white china, with five floral images painted on it. It is clearly hand-painted. It would have been completely gold-rimmed and is still rimmed in gold to about 70%.
6 1/2" across, 1" high.
There are no markings of any kind on it. It is in pristine condition.
