Fostoria USA Brocade Oak Leaf Acorn Folded Handled Bowl /Candy Cut Glass Crystal

This is a bowl made by Fostoria in the USA. The pattern is called Oak Leaf and it is from the Brocade line a type of Cameo Glass. The design features oak leaves and acorns. The design was made by cutting outside the design leaving the leaves and acorns smooth and a bit raised from the sharp cut frosted background. The background is all satin but you can feel the rough cut. A very intricate and expensive way to cut glass! It was manufactured in 1928-1930. Really a stunning pattern.

The bowl measures 6 1/2" across from point to point or 5 3/4" from handle to handle. The design on the top of the piece. The color is clear and the handles are a bar shape that has been folded up to make it a bon-bon.

Item is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks. The handles are bar handles. Please view the photos for a better description. I have other neat things listed. Please view our other eBay listings.
